This is my story

Throughout my life I’m continuously looking for answers to questions. One of the questions that remained unanswered for quite some time: ”Am I the same like all the other people on this planet?”

How it all began

Without becoming to cheesy or too emotional, I think it’s safe to say that my parents have had a huge impact on my life. Without knowing I developed a skill which I consider as one of the most important skills to master: making contact with others. To me this is all about the connections you can make with people – both people you know and the ones you meet for the first time. There’s a psychological aspect to this but it obviously stretches much further. It’s about strategic decisions, the way you structure your life and the knowledge you have about people and cultures.

On one hand I could probably be described as a commercial guy but besides that there’s certainly also a side to me that’s genuinely looking to help others – without asking someting back. As soon as I recognise a certain level enthusiasm and eagerness for people to be learning I’m happily contribute to their journey. And after I have been asked a number of times to share my experiences in entrepreneurship as well as a talk about my experiences throughout my university degree, I felt this to be something to be taken to a next level.

Why this website?

I happily share my knowledge, experiences and whatnot with you. Through several stories I’ve posted you can already find quite some interesting and fun information. Furthermore I do talks and coaching as well and I’ve got experience in doing so both within the Netherlands (my home country) as abroad. I’m quite a fan of traveling but when I’m visiting other countries I like to grab the opportunity anyway and see if I could use my network to get in touch with those people that would love me to come and present and share my knowledge.

Why this website? I honestly prefer using my network and communicating whichever I’ve got to offer face2face but nowadays you don’t get anywhere without a website. So I guess that’s the answer.

Do you give me the opportunity to make you, your students, your employees or friends and family grow? Let’s connect!

How did I get my experience?

Do I even have something interesting to share with you? Well I guess I have got quite some experience in certain fields. It’s about 10 years ago that I got involved in entrepreneurship (when not taking my little car-wash business at an age of 11 into account – which was making money, just for the record). I studied International Business and I’ve even gained much more experience in international business in Real Life. The main company I’m involved with we started about 7 years ago (early 2015) and on a day to day basis I’m (still) being confronted with basically anything that’s going on. Curious to know more? Read more on the page about my companies.

One of my favourite subjects is Digital Nomadism, something that’s become increasingly popular during and after the pandemic. I’ve been residing (while working) in countries like Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Colombia, El Salvador and several others.

The Amsterdam School of International Business – where I did my studies – has published an article after interviewing me on my experiences. The article reflects on a combination between entrepreneurship, motivational thoughts and a testimonial on the degree I did.

What I can all do for you

I would love to share my experiences with you through a talk or coaching session(s). Talks could be for students, employees or anyone else that would like to hear and learn more about/from my experiences. I have experience in doing talks for both smaller sized groups (a more personal approach is possible) as well as groups of much larger sized (a couple of hundred people).

I personally like, on the one hand, the smaller groups as it’s much better possible to actually make contact with your audience. For the larger groups I really like the thrill of speaking in front of a large audience too.
